US President Donald Trump has stated that rapper Kanye West’s declaration to run for the 2020 presidency is coming a bit late, as it would be difficult for him to get on the ballot in several states.
The president who made this known in a chat with reporters at White House yesterday, described the award winning rapper’s intentions as “very interesting.”
He said, “he would have to view this as a trial run for what’s going to happen in four years, his declaration came late as it would difficult for him to get on the ballot in several states.”
The rapper had tweeted that, “We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States.”
West who had visited Trump in his office in 2018, rocking a trademark “Make America Great Again” red baseball cap, announced his presidential bid on Saturday, July 4 2020.
