A dispatch rider was killed on Thursday in a fatal accident on Eliparawon Road, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Eyewitnesses said the victim, identified as Mr. Umo and popularly known as “Jesus Boy,” had parked his motorcycle by the roadside to call a customer when a truck veered off course and ran him over, killing him instantly.
Mr. Joseph Umoh, Director of Welfare of the Port Harcourt Dispatch Riders Association, confirmed the incident and described the death as a tragic loss, calling for enhanced road safety measures to protect riders
