Former Governor of Rivers State and current Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has said that the Transportation University in Daura, Katsina State, is a gift from China.
Amaechi who disclosed this in a statement over the weekend, said the project will be completed by September 2021.
He also said that the university will entail the construction of a secondary and primary school, from the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC).
On the project being delayed, he said, “Don’t forget that it is a gift, so they may not be as dedicated as they will be when it comes to a proper contract”.
