A yet-to-be identified man was yesterday electrocuted while attempting to steal armoured cable from a transformer along Mgbuogba/NTA Road in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The man, was removed from the transformer by PHED officials and the Police after residents of the area alerted them to the incident which caused panic in the area.
It was gathered that this was not the first time the armoured cable had been vandalized by transformer thieves.
