Train Collides With Bus in Lagos — LASEMAThe Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) has confirmed that no casualties or fatalities were recorded following a collision between a train and a commercial bus on Monday night at Arena, Oshodi, Lagos.
The incident involved a white Toyota Hiace bus with registration number AGL-671-XR. This was disclosed in a preliminary report dated December 23, 2025, and signed by the Permanent Secretary of LASEMA, Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu.
According to the agency, distress alerts were received through its 767/112 toll-free emergency lines at about 7:53 p.m., prompting the immediate activation of the state’s emergency response plan from its Cappa Base in Oshodi.
LASEMA’s response team arrived at the scene at approximately 8:11 p.m. and confirmed that a train had collided with the bus at the Arena area of Oshodi.
The agency stated that emergency responders promptly secured the scene and carried out necessary operations, stressing that no injuries or deaths were recorded in the incident.
