A Former student leader, Comr. Owhokire Rhino has on behalf of the coalition of Past and Present student leaders, called on Rivers students to boycott the thanksgiving service of the All Progressives Congress, on Saturday.
Speaking, at a meeting with some student leaders yesterday, Rhino said it is sad that the party is organizing a thanksgiving service to celebrate, after students died in the Kaduna train attack.
According to him, the timing for the Congress was wrong as Nigerians were still mourning the Kaduna train disaster which claimed lives.
He noted that the Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi being a former student leader should know better, as he ought not to hold the service at this time.
Rhino also said they will continue to speak the truth till the right thing is done, not minding whose ox is gored.
He called on well meaning Rivers people and Nigerians to boycott the Congress, slated for Saturday at the Amieyesimaka Stadium, noting that the transportation minister must go.
“We will continue to speak till the right thing is done…How can CRA fix Thanksgiving 2weeks after the train attack.#CRA_MUST_GO!” he said.
