A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State, Chief Tony Okocha has called on the Federal government and security agencies to ensure the planned October, 5th LG Elections does not hold.
Okocha, who made the call during a press briefing in Port Harcourt, cited a court order restraining the commission from going ahead with the elections.
He accused Gov. Fubara of refusing to obey court judgments stopping RSIEC from conducting the election, and ruling with impunity.
Recall that a Federal High Court in Abuja had barred the Independent National Electoral Commission from releasing the voters’ register to the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission for the upcoming local government elections scheduled for 5 October.
