The National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress, APC, says sacked Caretaker Committee Chairman of the party in Rivers State, Tony Okocha remains authentic Chairman of Rivers APC.
The NWC in a statement shortly after a meeting in Abuja Today, said the APC still recognizes Tony Okocha as Chairman of the party.
According to the NWC, a court had sacked the Emeka Beke-led executives which gave birth to the formation of a caretaker committee.
It alleged that Emeka Beke had filed a suit at the Appeal Court challenging his removal and that the matter is still pending, adding that until a ruling is delivered, Okocha remains chairman.
It described the suit which led to the reinstatement of Emeka Beke as an abuse of court process.
