The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, Chief Tony Okocha, has formally flagged off the commencement of the party’s electronic registration exercise across the state.
The flag-off ceremony took place at the APC Rivers State Secretariat in Port Harcourt.
Speaking during the ceremony, Chief Okocha underscored the importance of adopting technology-driven processes in party administration. He noted that the electronic registration system would ensure accuracy, inclusiveness, and credibility in the APC’s membership register across the state.
He further emphasized that the exercise must be carried out without discrimination, stressing that every eligible member of the party should be registered.
The event was attended by members of the State Working Committee, trained coordinators, and registration trainees drawn from the 23 local government areas of Rivers State. The e-registration exercise is designed to deepen grassroots participation, enhance transparency, and position the party for effective mobilisation ahead of future political engagements.
