President Bola Tinubu has called on the Rivers State Government to allocate 20 plots of land for the development of trailer parks along the Bonny–Bodo road.
The President, represented by the Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, made the request on Monday during the temporary opening of the road for public use.
Umahi said the provision of trailer parks is crucial to ensuring smooth traffic flow and preventing indiscriminate parking along the corridor. He added that the road will only be open during the day for now, stressing that night-time travel will not be permitted until all safety measures are fully in place.
