President Bola Tinubu has nominated Hon. Chibudom Nwuche as Chairman of the newly formed South South Development Commission, with Madam Usoro Offiong Akpabio appointed as the Managing Director.
Nwuche, a former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives (1999–2003), hails from Rivers State. Akpabio, a seasoned politician and strategist from Akwa Ibom State, is expected to bring her extensive experience to the leadership of the commission.
