President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended heartfelt condolences to President John Mahama and the people of Ghana following a helicopter crash that claimed the lives of Ghana’s Defence Minister, Edward Omane Boamah, Environment Minister, Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, and six others.
In a statement issued on Wednesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu described the incident as a profound national loss and expressed solidarity with the government and citizens of Ghana.
He urged the nation and the bereaved families to take solace in the fact that the deceased died in the line of patriotic service, while offering prayers for the repose of their souls and strength for those mourning.
The crash has thrown the West African nation into mourning as tributes continue to pour in for the late officials.
