A member of the Rivers Elders Forum – David Briggs has said that the resolution for peace in Rivers State was imposed on Governor, Sim Fubara.
Briggs who claimed to be part of the meeting at the Presidential Villa said Fubara was forced to sign the resolution without his input.
According to him, President Tinubu walked into the meeting with the resolution and gave it to a former governor of the state, Peter Odili to read it out.
He also said the president warned that there would be implications over failure to sign the resolution, adding that Tinubu only protected the interest of his party.
He described Fubara as an intelligent leader who is committed to governance.
