President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the extension of Mrs. Kemi Nanna Nandap’s tenure as Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) until December 31, 2026.
Nandap, who was appointed on March 1, 2024, was initially set to retire on August 31, 2025. However, citing her strong leadership and contributions to immigration reforms, Tinubu extended her term to allow continued progress in the sector.
The presidency, in an official statement, commended her “exemplary leadership” and urged her to sustain reforms aligned with the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda. Tinubu also reaffirmed his commitment to fortifying the NIS to protect Nigeria’s borders and facilitate safe, legal migration.
