President, Bola Tinubu has conferred on Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi the prestigious Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON), which is the country’s second highest national honor.
Dada Olusegun, Special Assistant to the President on Social Media in a post on X said the President praised Modi as a “friend of Nigeria” while presenting the award to him.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Honours Prime Minister #narendramodi.
“Confers him with Nigeria’s second highest honour of Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON) declares him friend of Nigeria,” he posted.
As you may know the Indian Prime Minister is currently in Nigeria for a visit.
