President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the recruitment of over 30,000 personnel into Nigeria’s paramilitary services. The exercise will be coordinated by the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB).
A breakdown of the approved positions includes 10,000 new recruits for both the Nigeria Immigration Service and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC). The Federal Fire Service will absorb 5,000 personnel, while the Correctional Service will take in 5,150 recruits. The CDCFIB itself is set to engage 209 new staff.
The recruitment process is set to commence on Friday, June 13, 2025. Interested and qualified Nigerians are expected to submit their applications via agency-specific online portals. The application window will remain open for three weeks.
