Adewole Adebayo, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) presidential candidate in Nigeria’s 2023 general election, has condemned the nation’s political system, asserting that true opposition must reflect the struggles of ordinary Nigerians.
Speaking on the state of governance, Adebayo argued that the ruling party is not the root cause of Nigeria’s challenges but rather a symptom of a flawed political structure.
“Changing the party in power without reforming the politics is futile,” he said. “The current administration is a result of bad politics—prompt and plain.”
He went further to criticize President Bola Tinubu, stating, “Only bad politics can produce a President Bola Tinubu for Nigerians. He is a product of that dysfunction.”
