A political gathering of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Ward One, Ngo Town, Andoni Local Government Area of Rivers State, has been disrupted after suspected thugs stormed the venue and vandalized property.
According to reports, the attackers destroyed canopies, chairs, and tables arranged for the event, causing panic among attendees. However, no casualties were recorded as of the time of filing this report.
Reacting to the incident, the State Deputy Youth Leader of the ADC, Comrade Gogo Glad, condemned the attack, describing it as an act of lawlessness intended to intimidate party members.
He reaffirmed the party’s commitment to its mission, stressing that the ADC would not be deterred by threats or violence. Glad also urged party faithful and supporters across Andoni LGA to remain calm, resolute, and focused ahead of the 2027 general elections.
