Three visual artists, Dumbor Debeeh, Oscar Tamgab, and Samuel Nwankwo have emerged winners of the DTCM/RSTDA Graffiti Visual Arts Painting Competition that had 23 contestants from the 23 LGAs in Rivers State.
Yibo Koko, the Director-General and CEO of the Rivers State Tourism Development Agency (RSTDA) disclosed this in a statement today.
Yibo said the competition was keenly contested as the participants spoke to the enormity of the creative talents, strength and capacity of youths in the state.
He stated that Deebeh, Oscar and Samuel were adjudged the best by a panel of adjudicators who considered the submitted entries.
Oscar Taribo Tamgab – hails from Ogu/Bolo local government area of Rivers State. He attented Kings College, Okochiri, Okrika and has a Bachelor of Arts (painting) second class honour from University of Uyo. Oscar Tamgab is a practising studio artist in Port Harcourt
Samuel Nwankwo is a versatile artist and a member of SNA (Society of Nigerian Artists). He has been teaching art for over six years in Port Harcourt. He is known for his artistic strokes, and creativity.
Dumbor Debeeh hails from Ogoni in Rivers State Nigeria. He is a highly imaginative artist that is evolving in the deep practice of art through diverse media.
The winners are entitled to a trip to Dubai, courtesy Dubai Tourism Commission and Marketing (DCTM).
