Three persons have lost their lives in Isiodum community of Andoni Local Government Area of Rivers State. The deaths have been linked to a suspected Cholera outbreak in the area.
Dr Gogo-Ogute Isaiah, a former Chairman of Andoni Local Government Area confirmed the incident in a statement on Saturday.
He said the incident was discovered when he joined a team from a multinational oil company to inspect a water rehabilitation project in the area.
According to him two of the victims died after vomiting and stooling on Friday, while the third died on Saturday.
The Rivers State Ministry of Health was yet to react to the incident as at press time.
