Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, says he has directed security Operatives in the state to arrest prominent persons who disobey the state-wide curfew so they can be used as scape goats.
The Governor said this during a grand reception in his honor by the people of Ogoni ethnic nationality in Eleme on Saturday.
He said some dignitaries flagrantly disobey the curfew because they think they are highly placed and above the law.
He noted that the curfew was not imposed to punish people of the state, but to ensure adequate security of lives and properties.
The Governor, charged security agencies to live up to expectation and ensure compliance with the directive.
He commended the people for coming out to honor him, as he stated those who did not come to Ogoni, can go and perish. “let them organize their own, let’s see who will attend. It’s ghost that will attend,” he said.
He also took a swipe at the Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi. “They say they want to choose who will be governor, is Rivers State their own? Thunder fire them,” he added.
