Former Federal lawmaker and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Sen. Magnus Ngei Abe says if the party in the state establishes a structure that will result in electoral failure, then, there will be nothing to celebrate.
Abe, who disclosed this in a statement yesterday, said he prays that does not happen.
Reacting to the alleged inauguration of state party chairmen in Abuja yesterday, Abe said no chairman has been inaugurated as they were only issued certificates of return.
According to him, the party is still working to resolve all issues across state chapters to ensure it is strengthened across the nation.
His statement reads,
No chairman in the country has been inaugurated. They were given certificates of return. Inauguration of chairmen is yet to take place.
The party is still working to resolve issues across the state chapters in other to ensure that the party is strengthened across the country for electoral victory.
After that effort is concluded inauguration will then take place. Finally ignauguration is not the swearing in of a new Government that can only take place after victory in the general election.Serious politicians understand that party structure is just one of the foundational building blocks to electoral victory.
If Rivers APC establishes a structure that will certainly result in electoral failure (I pray that we do not) there will be nothing to celebrate.
