The Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, Amb. Chijioke Ihunwo has revealed that there are many battles for the soul of Rivers State but expressed hope that all plotters would fail with the help of God.
Ihunwo, said this when the Rumuobiokani Amaeli Women visited him at the Executive chambers of the council on Monday.
He called for prayers for his administration and for Governor Siminalayi Fubara, describing the governor as a good and peaceful man who is sacrificing his all for the good of Rivers people.
“I want to commend you for the support you have given to our administration so far but you have to do more by continuing to pray for God to thwart every evil plot against our governor, His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara knowing very well that the key players in this political crisis are from our local government.”
“As a council, we will support all your activities because we are interested in your growth and development as women and mothers the same way my boss and principal, His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara is working so hard to turn around the State for the good of all,” he said.
