Senator, Magnus Ngei Abe has said that he has the experience, ideas and the capacity that can move the society forward.
Speaking, during an interview on Channels TV today, Abe said the issues in Rivers APC, is not about him.
According to him, the Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi had asked those who do not agree with his opinion to leave the party, adding that one of the challenge people face is how to accommodate the opinion of those who do not agree with them.
He stated that “godfatherism” does not have a place in modern democracy in Nigeria.
“The issues in Rivers APC, I don’t think it’s been about me. The unfortunate thing is that we are in the same party. The minister says if you don’t agree with his opinion, leave the party. The challenge we face is how to accomodate the opinion of those who do not agree with you, so we can make the political party a viable political vehicle,” he said.
“The Oga type of politics does not have a place in the modern democracy in Nigeria.”
“I have the experience, I have the capacity and ideas that can move the society to move forward. You may think you have the idea but that may not be what the people need at that point. You must have to consult with them to also obtain their opinion,” he added.
