Former Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA, Dakuku Peterside has taken a swipe at Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State.
Dakuku, in a statement over the weekend criticized Governor Wike over what he described as beautification of two roads in Port Harcourt with multiple Flyovers.
He said if such a move is the hallmark of progress for a state like Rivers in the 21st century, then the future of the state is bleak.
“If in the 21st century, the hallmark of progress for a resource-rich state is the beautification of two roads in Port Harcourt with multiple flyovers, then our future and that of our children is bleak,” he said.
He said the current administration lack ideas of what development truly is and entails, adding that vital sectors of the economy have been neglected.
He also explained that Wike’s main signature project is the replica of the Government House he built for himself in his village. “He can only boast of poverty he has visited on Rivers people with thousands of Pensioners owed gratuities sir 2015,” Dakuku said.
