Legendary Comedian, Bright Okpocha popularly known as Basketmouth has said in spite of the bad economy and unemployment, the church is still threatening people with financial curse over failure to pay tithe.
The hilarious comic act who made this known on his social media handle said, if you don’t pay your TAX and VAT, the government will threaten you with prosecution, now the church is threatening people with curse over tithing.
Basketmouth was reacting to a statement credited to the General Overseer of Living Faith Church also known as Winners Chapel. Bishop David Oyedepo had said few days ago that anyone
who does not pay tithe is under a financial curse and can never prosper.
The issue of tithing has stirred controversy amongst clerics and believers overtime. While some believers are of the view that tithing is important and attracts God’s blessings, others say it is not, as it only enriches clerics.
