The Christian Medical and Dental Association of Nigeria, Rivers state Chapter is set to carryout a two-day free medical outreach at Model Primary Health Centre in Okehi, Etche LGA of Rivers state.
The group made this known when it visited chairman of the LGA, Hon. Obinna Anyanwu on Wednesday.
Chief Press Secretary of the LGA, Robinson Oluor made this known in a statement.
His statement reads,
Today at the council secretariat in Okehi, the Executive Chairman of Etche Local Government Area, Chief Hon. Obinna Anyanwu, PhD, DSSRS, played host to the Christian Medical and Dental Association of Nigeria, Rivers state Chapter led by Vice Chairman, CMDA Eastern Zone, Prof. Kenneth Ordu.
Spokesman of the group and Vice Chairman of CMDA Rivers State Chapter, Dr. Kanu Chukwunonye, during the visit, informed the Etche council chairman of its 5th Biennal Eastern Zonal Conference scheduled to take place on July 25th to July 29th, 2023.
He also noted that the association is billed to carryout a two day pre-conference free medical outreach holding on the 25th and 26th of July, 2023 at the Model Primary Health Centre in Okehi.
Responding, the Etche council chairman, Dr. Obinna Anyanwu, commended the group for the initiative and pledged his support towards the success of the programme.
