The 2020/2021, Premier League season has been confirmed to start on September 12, 2020 and and run until May 23, 2021. League One and League Two seasons will equally commence on same weekend.
The said date was reached after an agreement between the 20 top-flight clubs during a virtual meeting held Today. The new fixture list is set to be unveiled weeks before the start of the new season.
The Premier League in a statement said “Premier League shareholders today agreed to start the 2020-21 Premier League season on September 12, 2020.
“The final match round of the campaign will take place on May 23, 2021. The Premier League will continue to consult the FA and EFL regarding the scheduling of all domestic competitions.”
