Residents of Rundele community in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State live in fear as soldiers allegedly invade the community, and burn houses over the alleged killing of their personnel.
The suspected soldiers had invaded the community yesterday following allegations of an attack on their personnel as a result of an altercation between some alleged oil thieves in the area and the soldiers which were said to have allegedly led to the death of an officer in the process. A source in the community, however, debunked rumours of the death of any soldier at Ndele.
The source instead, said the Men of the Nigerian army laid siege to the community and burned houses because OSPAC members disarmed two army personnel who are involved in Oil Bunkering activities in the area.
The Public Relations officer of Six Division, Nigerian Army, IWEHA IKEDICHI ONYENONACHI is yet to speak on this development.
