Six persons have lost their lives after two tankers carrying suspected illegally refined products were set on fire by security operatives in Rivers State.
According to The Punch, the incident occurred on Sunday in a bush in Eteo, Eleme Local Government Area.
It reported that the six deceased persons were scooping diesel from the tankers containing about 33,000 litres of Automotive GAS.
An eyewitness said drivers of the two tankers were forced at gunpoint into the bush, where the security agents set the tankers on fire.
Meanwhile, stakeholders have condemned the act by the security operatives, and called for a proper investigation into the matter.
