Following recent developments in Afghanistan, the Federal Government of Nigeria, has said that there is no Nigerian in Afghanistan who needs evacuation, as none resided in the country.
Spokesperson of Nigerians in Diaspora, NiDCOM, Abdul-rahman Balogun, disclosed this in a statement on Friday.
“We don’t have any Nigerian in Afghanistan. That’s why we are not carrying out evacuation from the country,” he said.
Following the takeover of the country by the Taiban, countries have been evacuating their Nationals to meet up the August 31, deadline set by the group.
Meanwhile, there was a massive bomb explosion at the Kabul Airport on Thursday, which claimed many lives.
