The Caretaker Committee Chairman of Tai LGA, Hon. Matthew Nenubari Dike has inaugurated a special security outfit “Community Protection Gaurd” (CPG), with the responsibility of protecting the 23 communities of Tai.
The event was held at the Primary School-III Nonwa-Tai open space on Thursday.
He said the initiative which will engage 740 youths of the area is aimed at stamping out crime, illicit activities and their related vices raising security concerns in area.
He stated that the special force must collaborate with the Divisional Police, NSCDC, FRSC, the JTF, and DSS to ensure the effective discharge of their duties, thereby guaranteeing a robust policing in Tai neighborhood.
The chairman, also donated two Sienna buses to the two police divisions (Koroma and Tai Divisions).
