The Police in Rivers State has dimissed reports of missing properties recovered from suspected criminals at the syringe factory in Rumuosi, Obio/Akpor LGA.
The state commissioner of Police, Emeka Nwonyi in a statement denied the report stating that the properties were intact.
According to him the exhibits have been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Command.
He also said no exhibit can be missing under his watch, adding that they will be produced in court when needed.
This was after officials of the state Ministry of Health visited the Anti Cultism Unit of the command after they were notified of the missing items and discovered that the properties were allegedly missing.
Recall that Operatives of the Nigeria Police attached to Zone 16 Bayelsa State few months ago intercepted a truck load of transformers, electric cables, generating sets amongst other items stolen from the factory and handed them over to the anti cultism unit of the Rivers Police Command.
