A student of Ignatius Ajuri University of Education, Idongesit Sunday who was suspended for allegedly making ‘inciting statement” on social media has narrated what transpired.
The student in a chat with Elanhub’s reporter, Uhegbu Stanley today said he never made any statement calling for protests by students of the institution.
The student of Political Science said he only commented on a post by the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Ozo Mekuri Ndimele.
He said after his comment: “hmmm I don’t think the exam and matric will commence. But we don’t want to protest again oo!” the VC invited him to meet with the school panel on Monday for explanation.
Sunday said he met with the panel as directed and was told that he was suspended for one academic session because of the statement.
