Suspended Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, on Sunday said he is aware of the solutions to his political challenges and urged his supporters to refrain from actions that could undermine ongoing peace efforts.
Fubara made the remarks during a service of songs held in honour of the late elder statesman, Edwin Clark, in Port Harcourt, the state capital.
Addressing his supporters, the embattled governor cautioned against impulsive actions taken on his behalf, stating that such moves often complicate the situation rather than helping it.
“Don’t do things because you want to do them; do the things I want. I’m the one wearing the shoes; I know the solution to my problem. I know how to walk through my problem,” Fubara said.
He warned that certain actions by his supporters have the potential to derail the peace process he is working to maintain.
