Panic gripped Udei community in Guma Local Government Area of Benue State on Sunday following an ambush by suspected herdsmen that reportedly left three police officers feared dead.
Eyewitnesses said the attackers laid in wait for the officers and carted away their rifles after the assault.
As of the time of filing this report, the Benue State Police Command had yet to release an official statement on the incident.
