In a coordinated security operation, a joint task force led by the Nigerian Police, Bonny Division, in collaboration with other security agencies, has arrested a notorious cultist identified as Prince Ezekiel, popularly known as Aboy Tukuru Halima, for his alleged involvement in cult-related activities and multiple assaults in Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The arrest followed a directive from the Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area, Hon. Abinye Blessing Pepple, who ordered immediate action after receiving reports that the suspect had attacked a resident in the Water Well area of Bonny on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, leaving the victim severely injured.
Reacting to the development, the council chairman reiterated his administration’s commitment to maintaining law and order in the area.
“No individual or group will be allowed to threaten the peace and security of Bonny. Anyone found guilty of such acts will face the full weight of the law,” he stated.
Following his arrest, Prince Ezekiel (aka Aboy Tukuru Halima) has been transferred to the Port Harcourt Police Division for further investigation and prosecution.
Authorities in Bonny assured residents that security agencies remain on high alert to prevent any resurgence of cult-related violence in the area.
