The Police in Rivers State has confirmed the killing of a member of the Diobu Vigilante Group identified as Uche Orukwo by suspected cultists at Obidianso Waterfront in Diobu, Port Harcourt on Saturday night.
Spokesperson of the command, Grace Koko confirmed the killing of Orukwo in a statement at the weekend.
She added that investigation was ongoing to apprehend the perpetrators.
Mr Orukwo was reportedly shot dead when the vigilante group stormed the area to stop an ongoing cult clash.
The cultists upon sighting them opened fire and gunned down Orukwo.
Suspected cultists have been engaged in supremacy battle in the area for sometime now.
