Operatives of the Rivers State Police Command have arrested a suspected car thief and recovered a stolen vehicle, along with multiple master keys believed to be tools of the trade.
The arrest was made around 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday by officers of the Anti-Cultism Unit during a routine patrol along Abacha Road in the Government Reserved Area (GRA), Port Harcourt. The suspect, identified as Felix Clark, was intercepted while riding a bicycle and was found in possession of seven master keys.
According to Police Spokesperson Grace Koko, Clark was taken into custody for interrogation, leading to the recovery of a red Hyundai Sonata with registration number EKY 531 GG from his residence. The car had previously been reported stolen.
She said during questioning, the suspect reportedly provided useful information and identified other members of his syndicate, who are said to be operating in Delta, Edo, and Lagos States.
Koko say investigations are ongoing, with further developments expected.
