he Rivers State Police Command has revealed that Cynthia Chukwundah, the undergraduate student allegedly involved in a fatal fire incident in Choba, is heavily pregnant with the deceased victim’s child.
Chukwundah is currently hospitalized and undergoing treatment for injuries sustained during the blaze that claimed the life of her boyfriend, Saint Sunny Amadi, on Sunday.
According to a police statement signed by spokesperson SP Grace Iringe-Koko, Chukwundah is yet to give an account of the incident due to her critical condition. However, police confirmed that she is pregnant with Amadi’s child.
She said the police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the tragic event, which occurred at No. 11B Okoro Street, Choba, Port Harcourt. The command has urged the public to remain calm while assuring that a full investigation is underway.
Commissioner of Police, CP Olugbenga Adepoju, reiterated the command’s commitment to ensuring that justice is served.
