Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade has disclosed that players of Nigeria’s women’s national football team have not received the $100,000 bonuses promised by President Bola Tinubu for their victory at the recently concluded WAFCON tournament.
Speaking on a popular podcast on Wednesday, Ajibade expressed frustration over the delay, revealing that even match bonuses remain unpaid. She noted that those responsible for disbursing the funds are still “working on it,” and assured that Nigerians would be informed through the news once payments are made.
Ajibade’s remarks come amid growing concerns over the fulfilment of financial commitments to the national team following their continental success.
