Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, has released a 23-man list ahead of Nigeria’s crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Benin Republic.
Nigeria’s chances of securing a ticket to the global tournament received a lifeline after FIFA deducted three points and three goals from South Africa, leaving the Super Eagles third in the group with 11 points—three adrift of leaders Benin Republic and South Africa.
Captain William Troost-Ekong has been included in the squad despite his costly own goal in the 1-1 draw with Bafana Bafana in their last outing. The list also sees the return of Terem Moffi, Semi Ajayi, Alhassan Yusuf, and Olakunle Olusegun.
Notably, Montpellier striker Akor Adams has earned his first-ever call-up and could make his debut for Nigeria in the must-win fixtures.
