At least 10 people were killed and seven others injured on Friday night when a suspected Boko Haram suicide bomber attacked a crowded fish market in Konduga Local Government Area of Borno State.
The explosion occurred at the popular evening market, which draws large crowds of traders and residents. Security sources said the attacker, disguised as a civilian, mingled with the unsuspecting crowd before detonating the explosive device. The bomber died in the blast.
Emergency responders and security personnel quickly moved to the scene to evacuate victims and secure the area. The attack is the latest in a series of assaults linked to insurgents in the region.
