The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) has said that most students on the scholarship scheme of the NDDC in the UK have now resulted to begging on the streets of the UK, for survival. This is as they are yet to receive money from the commission.
Chairperson of the Commission, Dabiri-Erewa made this known in a statement released by Gabriel Odu, Spokesperson of the Commission on Tuesday.
Erewa who said the payment would ensure students continue their programmes appealed to the management of the NDDC to immediately release funds meant for the scholarship programme. This is primarily because these students can no longer take care of themselves and pay tuition fees.
