Spokesperson of the Civil Society Organizations in Rivers State, Solomon Lenu says the last seven years in the state has brought pain and untold hardship to Rivers people.
Lenu, who said this while reacting to the “stomach infrastructure” programme by Governor, Nyesom Wike advised Rivers people to be wise and know who their enemies are.
According to him, the state cannot afford to go through the kind of pain, trauma and hardship the current administration brought upon them, again.
He stated that nobody should allow anyone sweet talk them into doing what they ought not to do, as elections are close.
Lenu, explained that politicians have overtime showed that they do not care about the plights of the people, noting that it is time for youths of the state to rise to the occasion.
He called on Rivers people to use their heads and go get their Permanent Voters Cards which gives them the right and power to elect credible leaders in 2023.
Lenu, also called on traditional institutions and stakeholders to sensitize their people on the need to participate in the forthcoming general elections.
