The State Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Hon. Nwafor Richard Nwali while reacting to the media chat of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT ) were he lambasted the governor of Enugu State, Bar. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah for claiming to be the leader of PDP in southeast without producing a governorship Candidate in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Anambra state.
Wike said, “You are claiming to be PDP southeast leader but could not produce a governorship aspirant in Anambra State ahead of the 2025 election” such unwarranted verbal attacks on the governor is not only a calculated attempt to undermine the enoumous achievements of Bar. Mbah in less than 2 years in office, but it has totally portrayed, how the minister of FCT whose continued attacks on the leadership of the Party in Southeast remains unchallenged.
Wike should be duly informed that the governor of Enugu as the leader of the Peoples Democratic Party in the zone will not join issue with those playing politics of bitterness, Greed and self accumulation of corrupt wealth in the expense of the greater populace.
Since Wike reportedly took over the ministerial appointment, he has continued to unleash his frustration on different stakeholders, Elder statesman of different pedigree, especially those from the opposition Party “The Peoples Democratic Party” that constantly denied wike the opportunity to destroy the party, thereby creating “ONE PARTY SYSTEM” in a bid to keep the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) perpetually in power.
The outburst of Wike in recent time, is not a new, since the feud between Sir Siminalayi Joseph Fubara (Governor of Rivers state) and Wike remains unresolved. The governor has proven to be a man full of wisdom, despite reign of terror by Wike in the state.
You may recall that the unwarranted attack on our Governor Bar. Ndubuisi Mbah is not the first from the drowning Wike as the Governor of Bauchi State is not spared by the so called minister of FCT that has continued to make caricature of himself on National Television, Social Media and other Print communication channels.
We have not forgotten how Wike boasted that he will never need the support of the Igbos in his Political career, in one of his media appearance; we remind him that since the civil war, ndi Igbo survived all manner of situation without complaining.
On 23rd January, 2025 the Governor of Bauchi State who doubles as the Chairman PDP Governors’ forum described Wike as “incoherent politician” who shift as his ambition swings. Bala Said, ‘’ You’re incoherent, transactional politician”, the above statement further classified Wike as man without honour whose intention is to turn public office into personal enterprise.
The situation of Wike is irredeemable, is only a mad man wrestles with a pig. The general public should allow him to keep wallowing, when Rivers People denied him access to the state’s Treasury.
We urge all members, critical stakeholders of our great Party to remain steadfast as the PDP will do everything within the ambit of the law to protect the zone from external forces trying to destabilize Southeast.
We assure you, the PDP under the leadership of his Excellency Bar. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah; with our National Vice chairman(NVC), High Chief (Dr.) Ali Odefa will not leave any stone unturned in ensuring PDP wins Anambra State election come November 2025.
