A data breakdown released by research platform Statisense, citing ORFA 2024 figures, has presented a religion-based analysis of recorded killings, revealing disparities among victims with known religious affiliations.
According to the figures, a total of 30,880 people were killed within the review period. Of this number, 16,769 victims were identified as Christians, while 6,235 were Muslims. Traditional religion practitioners accounted for 154 deaths, while the religious affiliation of 7,722 victims was listed as unknown.
The report states that among victims whose religious identity was confirmed, Christians represented 72.4 percent of the total deaths. It further noted that for every 10 Muslim civilians killed, approximately 27 Christians lost their lives, indicating a ratio of about 1 to 2.7.
The dataset outlines the numerical distribution across religious groups but does not include specific locations or incident details linked to the fatalities.
