Popular comedian KO-Baba has raised concerns over the impact of the state of emergency declared in Rivers State, warning that it poses a significant challenge to the entertainment industry.
In a statement on Wednesday, KO-Baba said the emergency rule has led to the cancellation of numerous events, as brands and organizers are now reluctant to host gatherings in the state. He noted that this has resulted in job losses, which could have a negative effect on the state’s economy.
The comedian blamed politicians for the setback, insisting that Rivers State remains peaceful. He urged the media to highlight this reality and called for an end to political conflicts.
KO-Baba also appealed to the government to support creative industries, emphasizing that such support would help revive the economy and create more opportunities for young talents in the state.
