A security personnel at Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Mgbechi Wekwe accused of raping a 16-year-old minor has been reportedly arrested by local vigilante group, OSPAC.
According to reports, the victim was arrested despite alleged refusal of the school’s management to hand him over to the police for investigation.
Mr. Mgbechi was accused by the victim’s mother of abducting and raping her daughter, because she opted out of their marriage plans.
The alleged refusal of the school authority to hand over the suspect to the Police, had sparked outrage on different social media platforms.
The suspect had boasted that nobody can arrest him, due to how highly connected he is, according to the victim’s mother.
