Legal practitioner Omoyele Sowore has issued a stern warning to the newly appointed Nigeria Police Force Public Relations Officer (PRO), Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Ben Hundeyin, cautioning him against following in the footsteps of his predecessor, Olumuyiwa Adejobi.
The warning comes after Adejobi, who recently faced widespread criticism, described Hundeyin as his “chosen one.” In a statement shared on social media, the commentator cautioned that continuing the “propaganda, stage-managed policing, and sycophancy” associated with Adejobi could lead to public disgrace.
“Nigerians will not tolerate the continuation of an era marked by senseless propaganda or repression,” the statement read. It added that those who prioritize image over justice “always end the same way, in ignominy,” he said.
The warning underscores heightened public scrutiny on the Nigeria Police Force as Hundeyin assumes his new role at Force Headquarters in Abuja.
